Description

This book study is part 2 of a 3-part series for "Equipped for Reading Success" by David A. Kilpatrick.  This is a comprehensive, step by step program for developing phonemic awareness and fluent word recognition that is backed by current brain research around Science of Reading (SoR).  In recent years scientists have made significant scientific findings to understand how children learn to read, but also how to prevent and correct reading difficulties.  This book is designed to summarize current research results and provides a complete program for phonemic awareness. This book and the activities in it are referenced by ARC.

This class is 2 hours of asynchronous work, and 1 hour live zoom on Thursday 2/27 at 4:00 for a total of 3 total clock hours.  Attendance on the zoom is required to obtain the clock hours.
