Unite: Early Learning (a birth to age 8 unity conference) will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in the Northeast Washington Educational Service District 101's Talbott Event Center, a state-of-the-art facility with capacity for 124 Attendees. Registration is on a "First Come First Serve" basis.

      Conscious Discipline break out description:

      In this training, certified Conscious Discipline instructor Amy Zolessi will present an engaging presentation in understanding the brain states and how this knowledge connects to creating a School Family that promotes unity and empathy inside and outside the early learning classroom space that allows children and adults to learn and support each other through the language of safety and helpfulness.

      KSPS break out description:

      In this training, participants will learn the current research on developmentally appropriate practices when it comes to media inside and outside of the classroom that they can apply in their classroom, home, or share with the families they serve. In PBS Kids Edcamp “unconference” fashion, data will be shared on developmentally appropriate and educational media use before giving time to pool and document participant knowledge of resources for classroom and home use, including that of PBS Kids apps and programs.
