In this course we seek to grow in the Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices as we consider how we can (1) Position each learner as capable of doing mathematics, (2) Enhance the identity and agency of each learner as mathematicians, and (3) Value multiple contributions.

Tasks are accessed via Canvas where clock hours are documented and awarded. 
Five modules of tasks for a maximum of 5 × 6 = 30 clock hours.

Each module consists of

1. Core Work

   1. Warm-up: activate your thinking

   2. In lieu of live Zoom sessions (recorded from this Spring): educators engaging in activities and discussions

   3. Upduo: live sessions with other educators every day from 4:00-4:30 pm

   4. Cool-down: reflect on your work and claim your clock hours

2. Dig Deeper

   1. Deepen your learning: dig into what’s been written around effective practices

   2. Expand your practice: further your understanding of and implement routines and tasks

   3. Seek vantage: enrich your perspective
