Are you curious about integrating content?  If so, this is the professional learning for you!  

For centuries, maps have been created and used to help people understand their world.  In the 21st Century, interactive web maps provide dynamic teaching resources at multiple scales from local to global scale.  They can be used to harness student interest in inquiry-driven lessons enabling students to learn about history, geography, mathematics, science, and how to communicate effectively in language arts.  Join us and geographer Joseph Kerski in an engaging, relevant, and lively workshop that will empower your students to understand and also to care for the Earth.

This session is targeted for K-5 educators. 

Participants must have a laptop to participate in session activities.

This professional learning is a fantastic introduction to environmental issues, geography, population and its impact, and data science all supporting student learning and fostering critical, holistic, and spatial thinking skills.
