For centuries, maps have been created and used to help people understand their world. In the 21st Century, interactive web maps provide dynamic teaching resources at multiple scales from local to global scale. They can be used to harness student interest in inquiry-driven lessons enabling students to learn about history, geography, mathematics, science, and how to communicate effectively in language arts.
