The ETS Paraprofessional Assessment consists of 90 multiple choice questions 30 in each of the following subjects: reading, writing, and math. Approximately two-thirds of the questions in each subject area focus on the application of those skills and knowledge in a classroom context. Fifteen of the questions in the test (five in each subject) are pretest questions and do not count toward the candidate's score. Individuals must score 455 or higher to pass the assessment for Washington.

If a test taker fails their first initial test, test takers are now allowed to complete one retake of the assessment as soon as they would like. If more than one retake is necessary, the test taker can complete another two attempts seven (7) days after their most recent attempt. Continued retakes will follow the same pattern of a 7-day waiting period after two (2) attempts.

Accessing a phone, calculator, watch, or any other electronic, photographic, scanning, listening, or recording device during the test is not allowed. Scratch paper and pencils will be provided.

You must bring acceptable and valid ID with your name, signature, and photograph. You will need to provide your social security number on the ETS on-line registration.

Cancellations/Refunds
If you need to cancel your scheduled test date, and you have given us at least 5 days notice (via email to krunkel@esd101.net) you will be issued a refund minus a $10 administrative fee. You also have the option of requesting to be transferred to a future test date. 

Refunds will not be given for cancellations that occur 4 days, or less, from the scheduled test date.
