This training is intended to provide school nurses, administrators, and safety personnel with a systematic approach to recognizing and evaluating individuals in the academic environment who are abusing and impaired by drugs, both legal and illegal, in order to provide early recognition and intervention.

After this training, you will be able to:

• Describe the involvement of drugs in schools and society
• Describe drug impairment signs and symptoms
• Properly interpret the results of your observations

Note: To attend this class, you must have attended a Drug Impairment Training for Educators Class (1 or 2 day) or a Current Drug Trends class by Officer Mike Thomas.
