Description
This 4-hour interactive workshop (two 2-hour sessions via synchronous Zoom) helps educators design NGSS-aligned 3D formative assessments by integrating generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) with the Next Generation Science Assessment (NGSA) Design Framework. Led by an interdisciplinary team from WSU specializing in science education, formative assessment, and AI ethics, the workshop content is organized into two modules: Foundations of AI Literacy Hands-On Co-Design of 3D Assessments |
Event Notes
Participants must attend the two sessions via Zoom (synchronous). **Participants attending via Zoom will be required to:
This interactive workshop introduces educators to practical and responsible uses of generative AI for NGSS-aligned 3D formative assessment design. Participants will leave with ready-to-use assessment tasks, hands-on experience with a domain-specific GPT tool, and foundational AI literacy that supports effective and ethical classroom use. The session is offered only via a Zoom option. |
