Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) has proven effective in positively affecting a broad range of behavioral, academic and social outcomes in students. The NWESD’s Social and Emotional Learning Summit 2018 is designed to present impactful and quality professional development opportunities for administrators, teachers, counselors and educational staff who work with, and on behalf of all children and youth.

The goal of this 2-day summit is to advance participant’s knowledge of best practices, and to provide recent findings and research on quality SEL programs and resources. Keynote speakers, and experts from across the region will be presenting on SEL research, theory and practice. Multiple breakout sessions will include: our regional districts sharing SEL programs and implementation, SEL and underrepresented populations, guidelines and policies related to So-cial Emotional Learning, SEL standards and modules from OSPI, Early Learning and SEL, and much more.
