IMPORTANT - Paraprofessional Assessment Test - CANCELLED for 3/19/20
Dear Paraprofessional Test Participants,
This email is to inform you that the Paraprofessional Assessment Test scheduled for March 19, 2020 has been cancelled. Registrations for this test have been transferred to April 16, 2020. If this date does not fit with your schedule, please contact me via email at kgunerius@nwesd.org.
Currently operations at the NWESD Anacortes offices are open to the public with limited on-site activities.
- We are taking actions to practice social distancing for our staff, events, and professional development.
- We are canceling, postponing or moving to Zoom non-essential events and gatherings of ten or more people.

The NWESD will continue to monitor this situation as it unfolds and will take our lead from local, state, and national health authorities. Our decisions may change as this situation evolves. All our decisions are guided by the safety of the entire NWESD community and beyond. We will continue to update our COVID-19 School Nurse Corps page.

Description
The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. The test has 90 multiple-choice questions, approximately two-thirds of which focus on basic skills and knowledge. The remaining one-third focus on applying skills in the classroom. All test questions are in English and delivered on computer.
The NWESD offers testing days each month. All test times are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please note that space is limited to eight participants.
Note: A cancellation fee of $20 will be charged for any canceled registration. Any cancellations made within 48 hours of test date will not receive a refund. Please note that you can transfer to a new test date by contacting Kristi (no cancellation fee will be charged for transfers).
Event Notes
Once you have registered and verified in our system, you will receive a test prep package via email. The test prep packet will include links to ETS ParaPro Assessment's website where you will find example tests and other materials to prepare you for taking the test. You will also receive instructions on what to do on the day of your test.
