Description

Join other Ambitious Science teachers, OpenSciEd teachers, Amplify teachers, and others who are engaging in NGSS-aligned instructional practices that help place student engagement and student evidence at the center of their planning!

Reflective Planning Days are a practice where teachers (a) engage in common learning to help frame the day’s collaboration; (b) engage in rounds of looking at each others’ class sets of student work to examine student engagement and performance, and to learn how to improve our practice around those; and (c) reflect on future instructional shifts to better support student engagement and learning.

Teachers agree to bring in class sets of student artifacts that best reflect the instructional moves they are using. This could be explanatory modeling, discourse, or even assessment.
