Classroom Design for ADHD
Design & Organization in the K-5 Classroom that Supports Executive Function
Presenters
- Jenny Bethke
Description
Your classroom design can be a powerful tool for supporting executive function, time management, working memory, and regulations, especially for students with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence.
In this course, you’ll learn how to work with what you already have while creating:
- Visuals that support common ADHD-related challenges
- A clear understanding of typography to better organize information and offload cognitive load
- Intentional use of color to support regulation and signal different activities
- A practice to help you step back and identify what actually matters most to you in your classroom design
- Simple design principles that create calm, usable, easy-to-navigate spaces
This isn’t about making your classroom “Pinterest-perfect.”
It’s about making it functional, supportive, and easier for both you and your students to navigate every day.
You’ll also receive 2 free K–5 printable posters that support regulation, ready to use in your classroom next fall.
So your classroom doesn’t just look good—it works in your favor, helping students stay on track, build independence, and engage in the learning that matters most with less overwhelm.
