Let’s grow our understanding of fluency in mathematics for basic facts. Be a part of this community of learners in a blended learning environment. This professional learning series includes a 1-day in-person workshop on October 14, 2025, and four (4) Zoom sessions on November 3, December 1, January 26, and February 23.

Together, we’ll explore the research-based strategies and engaging activities from Math Fact Fluency: 60+ Games and Assessment Tools to Support Learning and Retention by Jennifer Bay-Williams and Gina Kling.  Each participant will receive a copy of the book to support your learning and classroom implementation. 

In this hands-on workshop, participants will engage in the meaning of fluency, the development of basic facts, and learn assessment strategies that inform instruction. Discover standards-aligned games and routines to engage our students in joyful learning and practice that you can see in your classroom the next day. 

This series focuses on addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division with single-digit numbers.

This one-day training includes live/virtual training via Zoom from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm along with two hours of independent reading and reflection.

Participants will be sent the Zoom connection information and other materials and resources prior to the first day of this event.

Each participant will receive a copy of Math Fact Fluency: 60+ Games and Assessment Tools to Support Learning and Retention.
