Description

This fully asynchronous course prepares advisors, counselors, educators, and teachers to help high school students create and develop a modern resume. Participants will learn about OSPI's High School & Beyond Plan, which requires students to build a resume or activity log by the end of 12th grade. Participants will explore resources created specifically for high school resume creation, including resume templates and Resume 101 Workshop slides to use in the classroom, and also consider the use of AI and other resume tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Completion of this course offers an opportunity to purchase 5 STEM clock hours.

Note: If your school is already using the OSPI Universal High School & Beyond Plan Platform (SchooLinks), you would use the Resume Builder feature in SchooLinks and not the templates provided in this course. You can, however, use all the information in this course on how to write a resume and learn about how new technologies impact resume writing for job candidates.

Deadline: Participants must complete this session in Canvas by September 15, 2026.
