This fully asynchronous course utilizes Marcia Nicole's podcast "The Inspiring ECE Podcast" to learn about STEM activities for young children, focusing specifically on early childhood education. Participants will listen to the podcast episode "Hands-On Strategies for Early Childhood Education” where Nicole talks with Naomi Meredith, the founder of the Elementary STEM Coach Podcast, and complete guided listening questions. Participants will also review STEM resources and activity strategies from Common Sense Education. Completion of the course offers an opportunity to purchase 3 clock hours in STEM. NWESD 189 is a state approved clock hour provider and clock hours can be used for certificate renewal in Washington State.

Deadline:  Participants must complete this session in Canvas by July 15, 2026. Course attendance is taken on an on-going basis after participants finish, often within 3-5 days, though during rush periods and holiday breaks please be aware it may take up to 2 weeks.
