What do science and engineering have to do with social justice and equity issues?  How can local phenomena drive student engagement in science and engineering?  And wait a minute, what ARE phenomena anyway?  

Join us for this series, which will explore STEM Teaching Tools (https://stemteachingtools.org/tools) as a resource to support more local, relevant, and responsive science and engineering instruction for all students.  Who knows?  You may never hear  “How will this ever be useful to me?” again.

This blended learning course includes 3 live sessions (90 minutes each) and asynchronous work in Canvas (4.5 hours total) for a total of 9 Clock hours.  Participants can claim them as STEM hours, Equity hours, or divide them up among the two.
