Presenters

Description

This three-part professional learning series empowers educators to strengthen equitable literacy systems through the lens of Washington’s Dyslexia legislation. Participants will deepen their understanding of the law, explore how to use screening and progress-monitoring data to inform instruction, and design Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports that meet the needs of all readers.

Through reflection, collaboration, and practical application, educators will gain the tools to build inclusive, data-driven, and sustainable literacy practices that ensure every learner is seen, supported, and successful.

Participants will:

  • Understand Washington’s Dyslexia Law and OSPI’s Dyslexia Toolkit guidance.
  • Identify screening and progress-monitoring data that inform Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports.
  • Strengthen core literacy instruction using structured and explicit practices.
  • Design responsive interventions and supports that align with the MTSS framework.

These are the sessions in the 3-part series:

·        Session 1: Understanding Washington’s Dyslexia Law

·        Session 2: Making Data Work

·        Session 3: Building Sustainable Systems of Support
