In this three-hour asynchronous course, paraeducators will enhance their support of students' educational outcomes. The Positive & Safe Learning Environment course will provide paraeducators with a review of:

1. Specific roles in support of classroom management and student discipline
2. Philosophy of an inclusive and equitable learning environment
3. Equitable and inclusive strategies that can be used to support a positive and safe learning environment including de-escalation strategies
4. Safety procedures required in various classroom settings (including Career and Technical Education classrooms where applicable)
