Description

This full-day training is intended for teachers and other educators who have experience delivering sexual health instruction and who have attended previous trainings (e.g. FLASH, KNOW, ESHE Academy, Foundations, 3Rs, Get Real). The primary focus of this training is to support an inclusive approach to sexual health education to ensure that all students can feel safe, supported, and participate fully in sexual health instruction. This highly interactive training includes:

  • building core skills,
  • providing a framework, definitions, and activities to understand the importance of using a trauma-informed approach,
  • providing a framework, definitions, and activities to understand the importance of using a culturally proficient approach. 

6 clock hours will be provided at no charge.

Event Notes

The training will be in SMRC108 on the Professional Development Center (PDC) campus.  The SMRC is the building immediately to the east of the main PDC, 6501 N. 23rd Street.
