Description
This eWorkshop is designed to support K-12 classroom educators working with multilingual learners who have recently arrived in the United States and are new to U.S. schools. Participants will engage through reading, viewing, and reflecting on how to engage with newcomer multilingual learners and their families, building collegial relationships to support integration of multilingual learners into the school community, and instructional strategies to support the dual requirements of language development and content learning.

Instructions for Accessing the WIDA Secure Portal
Washington State participants need to contact WIDA Client Services Center at help@wida.us for assistance with setting up an account for the WIDA Secure Portal. WIDA will only provide access to participants who have a district email address. Please see linked step-by-step screenshots of the WIDA login process. Finding the Self-Paced eWorkshops in the WIDA Secure Portal
- Access the WIDA Secure Portal.
- Click on “WIDA eLearning” and that will take you to the eLearning “Dashboard.”
- Scroll to the Self-Paced eWorkshop tile and click on the course link OR use the left hand navigation bar, click on "Courses", and then click on the course link.
