How can teachers become agents of change, re-centering the social studies in Washington and in classrooms across the nation? Hear from a wide variety of speakers sharing their experiences, and discover new curricula development strategies including:

• Integrating inquiry, culturally responsive teaching, and civic action in your classroom, school, and community
• Using project-based learning to develop student skills and promote equity in the classroom
• Applying the new Washington State Social Studies Learning Standards to help advocate for more and better social studies instruction
• Helping pre-service and new teachers navigate the first few years of their teaching career

Teachers can earn up to three professional development clock hour credits for attending the conference. Our fourth hour is geared towards pre-service teachers and is not eligible.
