Session 1 of the 2022 McKinney-Vento Liaison Fall Training will cover multiple topics surrounding the McKinney-Vento Act, youth homelessness, and responsibilities of McKinney-Vento Liaisons. Below is an overview of the session events.
-Keynote speaker, Matthew Morton from Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago. Mr. Morton will be discussing Chapin Hall research findings on youth homelessness and their research and policy initiative focused on building evidence to support action on ending youth homelessness
-Latte' Harris, lived experience testimony and insights.
-Christina Endres, Program Specialist with the National Center for Homeless Education. Session 1 topics will include an overview of the McKinney-Vento Act, as well as requirements of the McKinney-Vento Act on topics such as eligibility for McKinney-Vento rights and services, and identification
