This workshop is designed to support educators in using the WIDA ELD Standards Framework (2020 edition) in local settings. This workshop explores ways to use the WIDA ELD Standards Framework (2020 edition) to support multilingual learners’ achievement and language development. Each module engages participants in components of the WIDA Standards and contains prompts for educators to discuss the module topic in local settings. Ideally, groups of educators commit to engaging in the modules individually and to meeting on a bi/weekly basis to discuss the module topics. By engaging in this workshop, participants will build their skills in: • Identifying the purpose and function of the components of the WIDA Standards. • Describing ways to use the components of the WIDA Standards. 

This course is open to K-12 Washington public school educators only.   Private schools who have opted into Federal Title III services may also take this course.  Contact your school administrator for details.  

Access course:

Washington State public school educators and approved private school educators  access the WIDA Self- Paced Workshops via the WIDA Secure Portal.

 If you do not have a WIDA Secure Portal account, follow the steps below:

1. Use your district email address and email WIDA Client Services Center at help@wida.us and ask for access to the WIDA Secure Portal.
2. WIDA will send you an access link within 24 hours. Set up your login username and password.
3. Access the WIDA Secure Portal.
4. Select the “Professional Learning” path.
5. Scroll to the Self-Paced Workshop tile and click on the course link 
6. Select the course and begin.
7. Finish the course and download the WIDA course completion certificate for your records.

Get clock hours:

1. Complete course survey in pdEnroller: Login to your pdEnroller account, go to your Events, click on this event, then go to the Clock Hour Checklist and take the survey. 
2. OSPI will download course completion reports from the WIDA Secure Portal monthly to verify course completion.    
3. Clock hours will be processed by the 15^th day of the month following course completion.   

Accessing the WIDA Secure Portal

Washington State participants need to contact WIDA Client Services Center at help@wida.us for assistance with setting up an account for the WIDA Secure Portal. WIDA will only provide access to participants who have a district email address. Please see linked step-by-step screenshots of the WIDA login process. Finding the Self-Paced eWorkshops in the WIDA Secure Portal

Washington State educators and administrators access the WIDA Self-Paced eWorkshops via the WIDA Secure Portal. If you do not have a WIDA Secure Portal account, follow the steps below:  

1. Use your district email address and email WIDA Client Services Center at help@wida.us and ask for access to the WIDA Secure Portal.
2. WIDA will send you an access link within 24 hours.  Set up your login username and password.
3. Access the WIDA Secure Portal.
4. Click on the “WIDA eLearning Center” tile and that will take you to the eLearning “Dashboard.”
5. Scroll to the Self-Paced eWorkshop tile and click on the course link OR use the left-hand navigation bar and click on “Courses.”
6. Select the course and begin.
7. Finish the course and download the WIDA course completion certificate for your records
