Mindy has had the honor of supporting students and school communities in three states, from preschool to college, from urban Phoenix to rural Wisconsin. Currently, she is the Director of Outreach and Engagement for Hatching Results. From 2017-2022 Mindy co-supported 50 school counselors in the Madison Metropolitan School District as the School Counseling and Transitions Coordinator. Prior to her role in the central office, she worked as a K-8 school counselor in Glendale, Arizona and a high school counselor in Franklin, Wisconsin. During her 19 years in the field, Mindy’s comprehensive school counseling programs have been recognized at the state and national levels on several occasions. In 2011, her Title I K-8 elementary program serving 700 students received ASCA’s prestigious RAMP award. In 2008, Mindy was named the Arizona Multi-level School Counselor of the Year and she went on to be named the 2013 ASCA School Counselor of the Year. In 2016, her high school counseling team’s school counseling program was recognized as a state-wide Program of Promise for submitting a WSCPAR (Wisconsin School Counselor Accountability Report). A graduate of Ball State University (Indiana), she is also a past president of the Arizona School Counselor Association and former Advocacy and Public Relations Director for the Wisconsin School Counselor Association.
