VIRTUAL LIVESTREAM: Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Training

VIRTUAL LIVESTREAM: Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Training

Two Day Training with Dr. Ross Greene

March 28-29 2024 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Presenters

  • Ross Greene, Ph.D.

Description

Dr. Ross Greene developed the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model as an alternative to "discipline-as-usual" behavioral intervention strategies. In comparison to reactive interventions with the goal of behavior modification, CPS focuses on cooperative and practical solution-making. The CPS model has transformed thinking and practices worldwide in various services and has been associated with dramatic reductions in adult-child conflict, school suspensions and exclusions, restraint and isolation use, and other harmful responses to students.

In this training, Dr. Greene will provide an intensive overview of the CPS model, including: the nuances of assessment and engaging students in solving the problems that affect their lives, and strategies to utilize the model to reduce restraints and eliminate isolation. The second day will feature additional practice, processing, discussion, and time for questions.
