This is a free, self-paced, asynchronous course offered by OSPI that is relevant for any educator, in any role, who is looking for Media Literacy & Digital Citizenship instructional resources designed for students in grades 6-12.

This course is a revised and expanded version of a course that was offered earlier this year. It consists of seven modules that introduce the free resources available from Center for an Informed Public, Civic Online Reasoning, Common Sense Media, CTRL-F, MediaSmarts, MediaWise, and News Literacy Project, followed by an eighth module that compares the collections. 

Participants are not required to complete every module; clock hours will be awarded based on modules that are completed. Please note that the clock hours are not STEM clock hours.

Access to the Canvas course is provided after registering on pdEnroller. Course work can be submitted at any time before June 24, 2026.
