Presenters

Description
How do educators and community builders provide an environment for students to engage in civil discourse with those who may disagree with them on controversial topics?
OSPI has teamed with the Civic Learning Council and the National Constitution Center to provide this professional development opportunity on resources and tools for helping students engage in discussions of controversial issues. National Constitution Center resources, a moderated discussion between WA Senator Liias and WA Representative Ybarra, and classroom implementation strategies from WA Civics Educator Shari Condit will all be included in this professional development opportunity.
