Description
The College and Career Leadership Institute is in its fourth year working with 18 schools. These schools are participating in a multi year professional development opportunity to work in school teams (at a minimum one administrator, one college and career specialist, one core content area teacher and one school counselor-though many schools have additional team members) to build a system of college and career readiness that ensures all students have what they need for the path they choose after high school. In the College and Career Leadership Institute, participants are building a system to support students to all paths after high school (including but not limited to apprenticeships, technical programs, two year and four year degree programs). Each workshop addresses three key areas of work:
- Learning with and from students
- Strengthening the High School and Beyond Plan, specifically pathways after high school and financial aid completion
- Continuous Improvement model for Financial Aid application completion: Participants will build on knowledge last school year to apply a continuous improvement model to college and career readiness
