Family Connection and Preparing for WaKIDS (June 6th)  
This session will help kindergarten teachers and support staff prepare themselves to welcome an incoming class of kindergarteners in the fall. You will examine child development progressions, the variability of children’s knowledge, skills, and abilities when entering kindergarten, and how to prepare for the Family Connection component of WaKIDS.  

Setting Up Your Classroom For WaKIDS (August 16th)
This session will outline the key components of preparing the learning environment for entering kindergarteners and the WaKIDS Whole-child Assessment. You will leave with strategies on how to leverage their environment to create rich observational moments.  

WaKIDS Observation and Documentation (September 19th) 
This session will explore different methods of observation and documentation. You will examine the components of high-quality observation, how biases show up in observations, the different types of documentation, strategies for embedding documentation into instruction, and how to maximize documentation.  

Using WaKIDS Whole-child Assessment Data (October 25th)
This session will explore how to leverage the MyTeachingStrategies® reports to analyze current data, documentation and assessment statuses, and how to utilize WaKIDS data to supercharge your instruction.
