Looking for tips and tools for teaching Media Literacy to children or teens in your classroom or library? Come hear from experts in the field who have developed lesson plans, activities, and other resources you can use tomorrow!
This series of free workshops is open to all K-12 educators, as well as public librarians who work with children and teens. Each session will be held on Zoom, on a Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. There will be an in-depth presentation from a guest speaker, as well as time to process and interact with job-alike peers in breakout rooms. Zoom link details will be provided after registration.
Presenters for Part 1 of the series (October 2023-January 2024) include: News Literacy Project, Project Look Sharp, Julia Torres, Katie Davis, and Faith Rogow. Stay tuned for details about Part 2 (March-May 2024), as well as registration for Part 2.
This series is co-sponsored by the Washington State Library and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
