The Training of Trainers (ToT) Model is intended to engage master trainers in coaching new trainers. A ToT workshop can build a pool of competent instructors who can then teach the material to others. This will increase the capacity of the HSW project to deliver professional development (PD) across WA State. The ultimate goal of PD is the effective implementation of skills and strategies that positively impact the health and well-being of young people. The HSW SNCM Cadre will instill best practices and provide optimal conditions for implementation to occur. The six PD practices will be used in the ToT:

1. Sustain a professional development infrastructure

2. Design professional development offerings

3. Market professional development series

4. Deliver professional development

5. Provide follow-up support

6. Evaluate professional development processes
