Description

Join OSPI-WSAC staff and a special guest from the State Board of Education to hear more about the new graduation requirements established in HB1599.  During this webinar, we’ll share the final rules and guidance for all the Graduation Pathways and answer remaining questions about implementing these opportunities for students.  Participants will also get to explore the updated Graduation Pathways Toolkit, including new tools and resources related to SBA testing, the 24-credit graduation requirement and High School and Beyond Plans (HSBP).

 

In preparation, you can explore what guidance is already available in the current Class of 2020 Graduation Pathway Toolkit.

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) staff partner together each year to offer professional learning for school counselors and other support staff.  The purpose is to share information and resources to help schools provide quality academic, social/emotional and career & college readiness supports to all students.

 

For the 2019-20 school year, we will offer four different webinars focused on best practices and updates regarding state/federal financial aid (Oct), HB1599/Graduation Pathways (Dec), the 4th Edition ASCA model (Feb) and supporting special populations and students transitioning out of middle/high school (May).
