OSPI worked closely with the nine ESDs to develop content-specific online learning for educators during Long-Term School Closure (LTSC). This online course is a result of that collaboration.What does it look like to support multilingual students in learning mathematics while simultaneously learning language in a virtual setting? Please join us to explore how to adapt strategies that support students who are multilingual learners/ELs in math learning to our new blended &/or virtual classrooms. Our work together will be grounded in design principles from Stanford University and will include an exploration of those principles, examples of how to enact them in classrooms, and supported time to plan together, enact lessons, learn from our experiences, and adjust our instruction (Plan, Do, Study, Act). 

This course will be available to a small cohort of teachers committed to learning together this fall. It involves asynchronous work (2 hours prior to September 8th, and approximately 2 hours a month through December) and synchronous class meetings as shown below.
