Description
Join IslandWood Urban School Programs educators as we dive into local water systems through hands-on activities designed to engage your students in localized science learning. We’ll explore stormwater and stream engineering around Thornton Creek in North Seattle using engaging and meaningful activities you can use with your students to connect to the water systems in your school and community. Be prepared to be outside and active, no matter the weather! The activities and content in this session are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards and designed with 3rd through 8th grade students in mind.
