Across our nation, school and special education leaders continue to struggle with implementing effective practices and structures to effectively address the disproportionate representation and outcomes for children of color.  With disproportionality calculations reflecting a critical need to close the opportunity gaps in schools, our office hours provide an opportunity for participants to deepen their learning and knowledge related to the reduction of special education disproportionality in their district. The office hours will focus on supporting district leaders to identify policy/practice root causes for disproportionality and develop an action plan to address systemic and structural changes across their district in alignment with the state and federal requirements for districts identified for disproportionality and significant disproportionality.
