PSESD and the Washington State Math Council (WSMC) are inviting YOU to join us in a collaborative designed to understand, design, and implement equity-based practices to cultivate math strong spaces in K-12 classrooms. One of the authors, Dr. Julia Aguirre, a professor at UW Tacoma, will be joining us as we meet periodically over the course of the school year to discuss the equity-based practices. We will support each other in bringing the practices off the page and into classrooms. We invite community members and educators of all stripes to join us!

The PD will be sponsored by WSMC and participants can earn 7 equity clock hours. The first 40 people who register and attend all sessions are eligible to receive clock hours paid for by WSMC (must be a WSMC member); however, clock hours must be claimed by June 5, 2026. Any clock hour claims after this date must be paid by the participant.

The first 15 registrants will receive a free book, courtesy of WSMC!
