Throughout this four-part series, participants will identify and clarify roles of paraeducators and certificated staff members, create and build systems to support teaming and collaboration between paraeducators and certificated staff, and establish sustainable ongoing training structures for paraeducators and supervising teachers. The format of the workshop will included shared learning, collaboration across school leaders, and coaching to applying the content to your context and current structures to support paraeducators.
The target audience for these sessions are district and building administrators.
- Session 1: Roles and Responsibilities of Paraeducators, Administrators, and Certificated Staff
- Session 2: Roles and Responsibilities: Expectations and Supervision of Paraeducators (Who is doing what?)
- Session 3: Teaming, Communication, and Collaboration with Paraeducators
- Session 4: Ongoing, Sustainable Training Structures to Support Paraeducators and Supervising Teachers
