About CE Credits Online

CE Credits Online offers flexible, self-paced professional learning designed specifically for K-12 educators, allowing you to learn anytime, anywhere through fully online courses. Their research-based courses provide practical strategies for today's classrooms and are supported by educator feedback and expert instructors. Courses are eligible for WA State clock hours through PSESD, as well as graduate-level semester credit from regionally accredited universities in partnership with CE Credits Online.

Course Description

In Foundations of Teaching with Technology, the goal is to provide participants with a foundational knowledge of how to effectively create and teach in a technology-rich classroom environment. The first half of the course is an examination of the relationship between students and technology, how it impacts learning (both positively and negatively), and the evolving roles and skill sets required of teachers in order to leverage technology to meet the needs of their students. Once this framework is established, participants will begin an exploration of a variety of web-based tools and mobile applications, evaluating the potential impact that each could have in their classrooms.

In the final project, participants will put the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course to use in order to outline an instructional unit that thoughtfully incorporates several technology tools The unit plan will demonstrate the participant’s knowledge of the tools, implementation strategies, and best practices explored throughout the course, as well as an understanding of the unique learning styles, needs, and challenges of his or her students. It will conclude with a reflection of the participant’s own teaching philosophy and practices, and what, if any, adjustments they may need to make to effectively deliver the instructional unit.

This course satisfies the WA State STEM requirement for certificate renewal!

Registration, Enrollment & Clock Hours

Enrollment fee of $199.00 per course to get started. Once course is completed, it will be an additional $135.00 to claim 45 clock hours. Clock hours are $3.00 per clock hour with a $15.00 minimum per person per event. Even if you claim less than 3 clock hours, the minimum $15 fee still applies.

You can register anytime between 9/1/2026 through 8/25/2027, but your course MUST be completed by 8/31/2027.
